Summary: Veterinary medicine in the U.S. is ripe with career opportunities, and attending an American veterinary school is the best way to break into this exciting field. The presentation will explain how to successfully prepare an application for American veterinary schools. It will also present an overview of the American veterinary school system as well as the career options available to veterinarians after graduation. There will also be a discussion on DVM-PhD dual degree programs.
About the speaker: Sherrie Xie was born in Beijing and moved to the U.S. at the age of 4. She graduated from the University of Chicago in June 2012, and is a current vet school applicant in the 2017 application cycle.
